Mediterranea

Evocative title of the high jewelry collection, Mediterranea bears witness to the connection between Bulgari and the Mediterranean; it retraces the origin of the brand and the journey of its founder, Sotirios Voulgaris, from Epirus to Rome.

Colors, materials, and crafts meet and merge, giving life to a visual and conceptual cross-cultural pollination which is at the heart of Bulgari’s creations. Following this vision, Palazzo Soranzo Van Axel in Venice represents the ideal scenario thanks to its Mediterranean essence and artistic eclecticism.
The layering of styles of the building and its cosmopolitan background embodies centuries of encounters and influences. The showroom is enriched with the interpretations of contemporary Italian architects and designers: Formafantasma, Zanellato/Bortotto and Studio Marco Piva.
Venetian highest craftsmanship materials are the leading aspect of the design. The collaboration with historical local producers marks a parallelism with Bulgari High Jewelry collection: every piece is handmade, irreproducible, and one-of-a-kind. Rubelli’s jacquard textiles, Venini’s crystalline glasses, and Fornace Orsoni’s golden leaf mosaics blend with Bulgari’s pieces of jewelry, establishing a dialogue of art, colors, and wonders.
